Paul F. Stimson Founder and President of Stimson Associates, has over 25 years of experience working with companies throughout the world to create lasting leadership capability and changes that significantly improve the bottom line. Using practical, results-driven techniques, Paul partners with his clients to develop and implement a broad spectrum of initiatives designed to meet each organization’s diverse and unique leadership, organizational and business needs. He works as a catalyst and senior management partner to help companies transform themselves into world-class, customer-driven competitors.
Paul has been recognized as a global leader in the development and implementation of systems thinking, business complexity modeling, organizational learning, and leadership development. He played a key leadership role in the development of Systems Dynamics and the Organizational Learning Center at MIT’s Sloan School. He designed and developed the breakthrough seminar “Resolving Complex Business Problems.
He has extensive experience working with leaders from multinational Fortune 100 companies as well as multinational startups and joint ventures, involving companies from Eastern and Western Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, North and South America. Paul has provided executive-level coaching, facilitation, team building and leadership development in English and non-English speaking countries.
Paul has coached and consulted with Presidents, CEOs, Boards of Directors, Executive Officers, and Line Managers/Supervisors in the development of practical organizational strategies, leadership and tactics to achieve sustainable competitive advantages.
He is an expert in helping organizations sort through and resolve complex business and leadership related problems. Prior to founding Stimson Associates, Paul was Managing Partner of Work Systems Affiliates International Inc. (WSA) Paul was the co-founder and Executive Director of the Strategic Consulting Group of Linkage, an international consulting firm, based in the Boston area. In addition to his many years as a senior management consultant, Paul has extensive experience working within organizations in various senior management roles.
Paul received his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut. He is an Adjunct Graduate Level Professor and has taught a number of Graduate and MBA courses in Management, Organizational Behavior and Adult Learning at several colleges and universities. He is the author of “Breaking the Complexity Barrier – Proactive Executive Tools for Making Complex Business Decisions”, co-author of the recently published 3 book Best Practices Series “Tools, Process, and Teams Guidebooks” and is working on a new book entitled “No Time to Think” … the trouble with Auto-Pilot Leadership.”
